Computers have many components, made by all sorts of manufacturers. As long as you have the required components to a certain standard, then your computer should work. You need sufficient memory, processing speed etc. to do different things, so the components you get should meet those requirements. You may also have to watch any compatibility issues, but most things should work together. Do a little research if you are building your computer as to what you need.
