It is a rose or pink wine, sometimes called a blush in the US. It is made with red grapes, Zinfandel. Rose wine can be made from any red grape though, it is common to find it made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Shriaz and Merlot.

No. There is a wine called 'white zinfandel', but it is a blush or rose wine. The zinfandel grape produces a robust red wine, but sales of the white version far exceed that of the red. It is the skin of the berry (grape) that gives a wine its color. Under the skins of virtually any berry, the pulp is whitish or pale green like the typical Thompson or Sultana grape. This comes as a surprise to almost everyone. The zinfandel grape contains so much sugar that it can produce a wine with an alcohol content in excess of 15%.

No. White Zinfandel is made from Zinfandel grapes. The color of the wine comes from the grape peeling left on for a while during the production.
