Some airlines have some really good prices, but the prices are usually lowered on short notice, when they have extra space on the plane, so you'd have to be flexible. but if you really want to travel to Europe in an interesting way, travel on a freighter ship. they arent as well accomodated as cruise ships, but they have extra rooms and meals, so if you can catch one then go for it! as for travel while you're in Europe, take taxis or even short plane rides. despite common belief, the trains are more expensive and in turn, not the best or most cost effective way to travel Europe.
