You can't upload paper books to a Kindle. You need them in electronic form.
If you had to upload a paperback, the only way I can think of is scanning it and then uploading it as PDF (warning: if it's not out of copyright, that would be illegal).

there are many ways to do this. 1. you can amazon.com and login, so that if you find any free books you like, you can order them and they will be sent to your kindle wirelessly. Then when you are logged in type in "free kindle books" in the search box of the website. then it should list all the free kindle books. if not, when you type in "free kindle books" on the right side you should see a dropbox that says 'SORT BY". Click the arrow piont ing down, then click" Price: low to high".

The PRS-700 BC is more advanced with touch screen, landscape view, LCD light for night reader which are some of the things the Kindle does not offer.On the other hand, the Amazon Kindle offers wireless delivery of books in under one minue, access to over 300,000 books at the Kindle store, plus magazines, newspapers, and blogs.The sony reader offers only 160,000 books from the sony store.For more information, look at the comparison given in the links.Hope this helps.:)I personally preffer the kindle over the sony ereader.
