No, they are actually really good for the voice. Pasta with tomatoe sauce and onions is the staple for Opera singers. Tomatoes help with inflamation and are water rich which are good for the vocal folds. I eat an organic raw tomatoe after my daily 1 hr singing sessions. I believe it helps. They are very healthy. Check and see if i gives you phlegm(highly doubt it will) and let your intuition tell you if is working. People in general don't eat enough tomatoes. EAT THEM
