Whatever the customer orders them to be. Most I've seen use an Allison automatic, but I've seen them with 8LLs and 10 speeds, as well.

You didn't mention what vehicle you have but in general the transmission vacuum modulator line goes directly to the engine intake manifold.
You can change the fluid with a mity vac from the dipstick and replace with SPIII fluid -

You can convert 24 vac to 5 vac with a transformer with windings in the turns ratio of 24 to 5.

The switches to activate the backup alarm are usually placed within the transmission. If you don't feel like going through this hassle, you can connect the positive wire for the backup alarm to the circuit which activates the backup lights, or you can put a manual switch in the cab to work the backup alarm.
The ratio for a 480 VAC to 120 VAC is 4 to 1.
Removing the filter from your wet / Dry vac makes it a wet vac. Only vacuum water with a wet/dry rated vac. If you use a regular vac you might ruin the vac or electrocute yourself.
