Vaishnavas are those who believe and worship Lord Vishnu and in his incarnations. They can from any varna (caste system). In olden days both Shaiva (believers of Shiv) fought each other to prove their belief is better than the other. As a result, Budhism and Jainism started getting great followers. It was Acharya Shankar who established the fact that there is no difference in name, no duality.
They stand high above brahmins and there is no clan on earth to compare with them.
