Wildfires are both constructive and destructive.

They are obviously destructive in that they destroy trees, bushes, grasslands, and any human structures that may be in their path.

In the long term they are constructive, as the burning makes room for new and different growth, thus maintaining a broader ecology. And some plants require being burned in a wildfire before they can reproduce.
