Are wizards real and how do you become one?

Wizards are not real, but the closest thing to becoming a wizard is to be a magician, because magicians appear to have special powers.

Some Advice from a "Wizard" (harmless, but do not expect this to work)

A wizard is someone who controls magic. Magic is a mysterious energy that flows everywhere, it has many names, it takes many forms and not much is known about it. Many people like to call it psi. You need to need to learn to control this energy, to do this the best way to get started is to create a psi ball. Here is the way I do it (there are other ways, every body will have their own way, this is just to give an idea):

1. Pick something you think the energy looks and feels like (I don't want to give you an example because then it's not what you think)
2. You need to feel or visualise psi flowing from a source into you (never use psi from a living thing).
3. Feel or visualise it to enter your body.
4. Let it flow around you.
5. Hold your hand about 3 inches away from each other.
6. Let the psi exit and collect in you hand. DO NOT FORCE IT.
7. As it collects, move your hand away from each other, slowly.
8. Then push your hand back to the same size
9. Congratulation, you made a psi ball

This rarely ever works the first time, just keep practicing for a week and you should feel a tingle or heat or coolness. If you do feel it you've probably made it. To check see if someone else can feel it. After, a few years it should be visible but this rarely happens.

You cant. Wizards are myths.

I believe in magic however I would not call someone who has learned to use magic a wizard. People who use magic aren't special they just have developed a skill that is widely unknown. There isn't any special ritual to be able to use spells anyone can if they work hard and learn how to use magic.
