Like all rides it can be increadbly dangerous to take mobile phones or cameras (or any loose article for that matter) on to the ride. If you do and it come loose you could cause serious injury to people watching or in the q-lines beneath you.
If you think about it would you like it if a camera came flying at you at 50mph and hit you on the head. Online there are various official On Ride Videos which have been filmed in safe ways. Also Saw The Ride provides an on ride video service which films you as you go around the ride.
