At a job interview, one of the most popular questions asked is to talk about your career to date. Prospective employers like to hear about your professional background, the roles you have held as this can help them to make a decision as to whether or not to hire you.
In general, business terms, an adult is pleased with their job, whereas a child is happy or unhappy with play, life, school.
A politican/statesman is never happy, instead he is pleased. It sounds silly and child-like to hear a politican say they are happy with progress, etc.
So.... are you happy with your job? Or are you pleased with your position, job, location, office environment, office attitude and atmosphere.?
To make matters more complicated, are you happy in your job seems more accurate than "with your job". I can understand a person being "happy" (pleased ) with their work (quality etc), but "unhappy" (displeased) in their work .
Give the parameters of my job, my progress has been excellent. I know the work, and I am just reaching that point in my career where I can make significant contributions.
When you are asked to describe your career to date, you should from the newest to the oldest experiences that you have had. Discuss each job with the skills that you have learned from each.
Whether a person is happy with their career depends on several things. If they enjoy what they're doing and they make a livable wage, they may be very happy.
Yes, thank you. :)
There are many ways in which you could describe your career goal. You could describe this goal as progressive for example.
