To get a Body Mass Index (BMI) you convert your figures into kilograms and meters and use the formula:
Weight (in kilograms) DIVIDED BY Height squared (in meters)
That means that the BMI for the above stated individual is about 24.5, which is within the average range between 20 to 25. Thus not overweight, but getting there.
However, it's worth noting that these figures aren't as accurate for children and teenagers.
A male that is 5 feet 1 inch tall has an average weight of 112 pounds. Weighing 111 pounds would mean this person is about average and not overweight.
Generally 1 inch for every 30 pounds overweight.
7 pound feet = 84 inch pounds
20 ft. lbs. x 12 = 240 in. lbs.
125 inches = 10.4167 feet 125 inch-pounds = 10.4167 foot-pounds
220 inches = 181/3 feet 220 inch pounds = 181/3 foot pounds
About 460 pounds per square inch.
140/12 = 11.66... foot pounds
Depends on the height. 2-3 pounds per inch is normal.
Gypsum or plaster board3 3/8 inch 1.56 pounds per square foot 1/2 inch 2.08 pounds per square foot 5/8 inch 2.60 pounds per square foot
I'm assuming you're female. Yes, 190 pounds is considered overweight for your height. It used to be a rule of thumb that you should weigh 100lbs if you are 5ft, and add five - 10 pounds for every inch taller. This is a height and weight chart from the office of the Surgeon General: http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/topics/obesity/calltoaction/fact_advice.htm
They are not the same. Pounds is a measurement of weight. Square Feet is a measurement of Area. Some references to "pounds" really is meant to be "pounds per Square inch" which is a measurement of Pressure (or force). Maybe you mean converting "pounds per square inch" to "pounds per square feet"?? You need to be more specific and check your facts of the problem.
