Normally, it is not acceptable for food handlers to wear jewelry in any form. As a food inspector, if I can see it, it could fall into the food, so I don't want to see any jewelry. Even watches aren't acceptable. Wedding bands can harbor bacteria under the ring against the skin. If the ring can't come off, then wear gloves.
