Well if you wear panties and Bras and this makes you feel good perhaps you are satisfying your feminine side, you are getting in touch with it and this puts you at ease with those unknown feelings or desires that you yourself can find an explanation for.
This does not mean you are going to become a women or gay. People telling you that you would be a beautiful women does not tell much to us except that you enjoy the compliments.
Do not be afraid to put on women clothes, that is only transvestism. If you go in public out looking like a women then you are probably an exhibitionist as well.
However if you like man the you could be a homosexual and there is a great difference between one and the other. Having a feminine side is fine we come from a man and a women we were inside of a women for 9 month, John Wayne used to say according to an article I read on the web and according to his accountant "is not the panties what makes the man, but what man does while wearing them". Cross-dressing is the preferred word to use by heterosexual since the word Transvestite has a connotation or homosexuality and transgender.
The cross-dressing term is also preferred by heterosexual man who do only wear panties. Most of cross-dressers are males heterosexuals (they only like only women).
