A lot of space and very small electrons. There is between 95% and 99% empty space around the nucleus, before you get to the electron shell of the next atom.
The Electron Cloud
Electron cloud.
This space is only absolute vacuum.
these particles are called quarks
Electrons do surrounding the atom and rotate around the nucleus.
Electrons
protons space
The space around the nucleus of an atom is called the electron cloud. The electron cloud is the space in which the electrons of that atom travel. Compared to the nucleus, the electron cloud is enormous.
There is electron charge (and mass) everywhere inside the atom. It is not empty space. There is electronic charge density in the entire volume of an atom. The electrons are said to orbit the nucleus, but that is a short hand description of reality. Reality is described by quantum mechanics and the representation of the location of the electrons is more like a diffuse cloud throughout the atom.Empty space. Nothing.Nothing. Empty space.Nothing between the electrons and the nucleus is nothing99.9% of that space has no matter in it

Orbitals
the nucleus that turns around in circles
The space outside of the nucleus of an atom where electrons reside is referred to the electron shell or an orbital. According to quantum mechanics theory, electrons do not technically travel, they just exist around the nucleus in something like a shell or a cloud.
