A higher frequency means a shorter wavelength, and a lower frequency means a longer wavelength.
Frequency = speed / wavelength. On the other hand, light of different frequencies looks to our eyes as different colors. Some frequencies - most, in fact - can't be seen at all.
White light has all visible frequencies incorporated in it. A prism refracts different frequencies at different angles so the different frequencies (colors) spread out.
Here you have the frequencies of BLUE and colors next to it:violet380-450 nmblue450-475 nmcyan476-495 nm
The color red has the longest wavelength of all the colors in the light spectrum.

To read a spectrograph, interpret the x-axis as frequency or wavelength, the y-axis as intensity, and the colors or patterns as different spectral lines corresponding to different elements or compounds. Peaks or dips in intensity indicate the presence of specific emissions or absorptions at certain frequencies or wavelengths.
Each color has a wavelength and frequency associated with it. We're familiar with the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. These colors range from longer wavelength (lower frequency) red up through shorter wavelength (higher frequency) violet. As one moves up through those colors from red to violet, the color is an indication to relative wavelength.
There's only one "type" but the different frequencies are segregated as "color" by our eyes.
Rainbow?
Of the colors visible to humans, red light has the lowest wavelength. Violet light and white light have the highest wavelengths.
because when elements are heated there electrons become excited and jump through the elements "steps" and as they become less excited the jump back down steps emitting a unique wavelength and the visible wavelength is the colour we see -------------------------------------- The wavelength of the spectral lines emitted by different elements are specific for each element. Consequently the colour is also different.
White light has all visible frequencies incorporated in it. A prism refracts different frequencies at different angles so the different frequencies (colors) spread out.
Firstly spectral lines means the spectrum the band of 7 colors. The spectral lines are formed because when the light passes through tough medium it passes through the medium but the white light gets disintegrated into seven colors . The band includes the colors violet, indigo, blue, green ,yellow orange , red.
