If the triac of an ac output module fails in the shorted state, the device connected to the output would behave the same as if it had been connected directly to the ac power supply. It would run at full power and it would not be controllable.

What will happen to the primary winding if the secondary is shorted?

If the secondary is shorted, then it will appear that the primary is shorted as well. What happens depends on how well the protective device (fuse or circuit breaker) and transformer is designed. If the protective device is incorrectly designed, it is theoretically possible for the transformer to explode. If it is properly designed, and the transformer is also properly designed, there should be no damage at all - fix the fault - reset the trip - and you are back in business - although an inspection would probably be in order to check for latent damage.

How you can be able to store charge after switching off the fan?

An electrical device can still be on and charging if the fan is off. If the device is plugged in to the wall, or connected to a battery, chances are it is charging.

What is a light fixture?

How is a shunt coil installed?

'Shunt' is an archaic term, meaning 'in parallel with'. So a 'shunt coil' is connected 'in parallel' with... With what, of course, depends upon what sort of device you are talking about. For example the field coil of a d.c. shunt-connected motor has its field winding connected in parallel ('shunt') with the supply.

What is an embedded modem?

It is a modem that is integrated right into a device, either as a plug-in module or discrete devices or a hybrid module designed as part of the circuit board. This is in cotntrast to the 'normal' setup where the modem is a completely separate device connected with a cable.

Why will pin 4 work if it's not connected well?

Without knowing what device this (at least) four-pin connector is, I can only assume that it doesn't make use of that pin in communications with whatever you have it connected to.

What would a 24V DC motor read on a meg ohm tester between on of the power terminals and the case of the motor if the motor is shorted And grounded?

A shorted motor would read zero ohms. Note, however, that a meg ohm tester is not an appropriate test device to assess if the motor is shorted, because the difference between shorted and "operational" can often be just a few ohms - you need a low resistance test device - not a meg ohm tester.

What are the characteristics of the star topology?

In a star topology, each device connects to a central network connectivity device such as a hub, switch, or router. These devices would be connected as a "star" (points on a star). The other characteristic of a star topology is that a failing connection will only affect the failed device unless that device is the connectivity device. This means that in most cases a failing device on a star will not take down the entire network. Another characteristic of a star is that they are easily expandable and scalable.

What is a device connected to a network such as a computer or a game console?

A node is a device connected to a network such as a computer or a game console. (Each device connected to a network is referred to as a node. A node can be a computer, printer, game console, or router.)
