There are rumors out the Romanov treasury took a big blow when the ship SS Republic sank in l909. Unlike the Titanic disaster, this shipwreck-maybe because fo the valuable payload of Gold and Platinum ingots-these things can be recovered- do not rust or dissolve like paper currency) it was played down by the media of the time. there is a web site out on the SS Republic which was a British Flag vessel.
The Romanov family's wealth was primarily held in the form of property, art, and jewels. Much of it was confiscated by the Bolsheviks during the Russian Revolution, and some assets were later sold off by the Soviet government. Claims have also been made that a portion of the Romanov fortune remains hidden or was smuggled out of Russia by various individuals over the years.
The Romanovs' bodies were exhumed in 1991 from a mass grave in Ekaterinburg, Russia, where they were originally buried after their execution in 1918. The remains were identified using DNA analysis and confirmed to be those of the Romanov family.
The remains of Anastasia Romanov were discovered in a mass grave in Yekaterinburg, Russia, in 1991. She, along with her family, was originally buried in a forest near Yekaterinburg after being executed in 1918. However, their remains were later exhumed and reburied in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1998.
The decision to dig up and identify the Romanov remains was made to put an end to years of speculation surrounding their deaths. The identification in 1991 was done to confirm their identities through DNA analysis after the fall of the Soviet Union. President Yeltsin in 1993 and President Putin in more recent years were not directly involved in the decision or the identification process.
Alexei and Anastasia or Marie.
It was thought that Anastasia had survived for many years, but this is not true. They were all killed in the Romanov massacre.
No one from Tsar Nicholas II's immediate family survived, despite rumors that Anastasia did. Nicholas's brother also failed to survive.
All go from youngest to oldest [ I do not know how old they were when they were slaughtered] Alexei Romanov [ Tsarvich ], Anastasia Romanov[ The one rumored to have survived], Marie [ Or Maria, I'm not entirely sure] , Tatiana Romanov, Olga Romanov. I'm not sure if Nikolai [ or Nicholas, not sure either] of Alexandra [ or Alexandria] was older, so I'll just list them. Alexandra Romanov [ Tsarina ], Nikolai Romanov [ Tsar ]. And there you go.
The Romanov Dynasty ruled for 304 years from 1613 to 1917.
The Romanovs were executed in 1917, including Anastasia Romanov. But, during the course of the 20th century several women have turned up and claimed to be Anastasia Romanov, saying she had escaped the execution and was still alive. Since the discovery of the bodies of the Romanovs, the myth that Anastasia may have survived has only grown, as two bodies were missing (though no one knows which two kidd' bodies were missing) and some people see this as proof that Anastasia Romanov is still alive. That is the myth behind Anastasia Romanov.
Anastasia Romanov was the youngest daughter or Tsar Nicholas II of russia when the Romanov family was executed in 1918 after the Russian revolution of 1917, Anastasia and her brother Alexei, tsarevich (crown prince of russia) were not found among the dead for most of the last 100 years, it has been speculated that Anastasia and Alexei survived the firing squad and somehow escaped
