What is the problem with the window?
There are many sites for DIY window treatments as well as many books and magazines that can be found in the local library or thrift stores. You can even watch TV and they have DIY projects on certain channels. The DIY network has some great ideas.http://www.diynetwork.com/topics/window-treatments/index.html
You have two options. Go to a junkyard and buy the glass and install it yourself which is a pretty advanced DIY project. Or call a local auto glass shop and have them replace it for you. If you elect for the DIY project there is a link below that explains side glass replacement. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Auto-Glass-3622/2009/4/Expedition-side-glass-replacement-1.htm
You can go on this website they have lots of information and videos on DIY. this is the link for the stereo replacement : http://www.infinitihelp.com/diy/gsedan/projects/infiniti_g35_radio_replacement_procedure.htm

If you are good with do it yourself projects, you could install a bench in your bedroom window. My advice would be to visit a local DIY store in your area. They are generally quite good at providing advice for your DIY projects.
I do have a soft top that had a plastic rear window which was replaced with a glass one. I bought my car used and I was told that the replacement kit and work is expensive. I have a '94 Miata and my back window is pretty busted up. I was getting ready to shell out the $400 dollars for a new back window + labor fees to have it installed, when I came across two excellent DIY rear window replacements. They're a little tedious and time consuming, but will only cost you around $30-$50 rather than a large sum of cash. It involves cutting out the back window and carefully glueing in a new plastic piece. Both websites go into great detail with the instructions and have pictures. If you're interested in trying this task yourself to save a chunk of change, the websites are either; jimmypribble.com (look for Mazda miata rear window replacement). Or there is another by Mike Davis, I'm not sure of the website, but just Google him and miata window replacement and you'll find it. Good Luck! I created a tutorial for a diy Miata rear window replacement. If follows Jimmy Pribble's tutorial with some minor changes. Please check it out at http://sites.Google.com/site/miatarearwindowrepair .
Cost me $580 from midas - which I think is bullsh** --------------------- you can save some money by replacing brake pads yourself. This DIY guide shows you how it's done on a Mercedes ML but most brake pads replacements work on the same principle. http://www.nicedeals.co.uk/blog/diy-guides/mercedes-diy/mercedes-ml-front-brake-pads-replacement/
Certainly - go to your local Ford dealer's parts department. Removal and replacement of this switch should be an easy job for most DIY's.
Be sure to measure your window before you call in to anybody. You could try a glass company to install it yourself. Some links are: www.hometips.com/diy-how-to/window-installation.html and how-to-install-windows.com
