I am in my seventh week of my fourth pregnancy. This is the only time I've been breastfeeding while pregnant (although my 18 month old is really only having a feed in the morning and at night), and so far I'm experiencing less nausea than in previous pregnancies. Its still there, but hasn't overwhelmed me yet (oh well, I've got a few more weeks to ride out before I'm safely into second trimester)

hello. i feel your pain. I hit 30 weeks today actually and im still having severe morning sickness from about 12 weeks. I wasn't very tired actually until the last week or so. There is nothing really to help the sickness that you probably haven't tried already. That is just here to stay sadly. However, I spoke to someone that said it will go away almost instantly after birth. So, keep that in mind!!! I think since we both still are getting sick it may make us more tired (mentally as well). I have found that I just give in and sleep as much as possible. I don't know what your situation is in terms of other children or work, but I was able to take maternity leave early. That allows me to avoid the stress of working (which just aggrivates the morning sickness). I am trying not to feel guilty about sleeping whenever I get tired. But if I don't then I find that I just am a zombie and get nothing done anyway. Drink as much water as you can without getting sick. I also find that the less sugar I eat the less tired I get. Just stick to lots of water and no added sugar fruit juices and I find it helps make me feel better. Sadly, I have no miracle cure for you. But hang in there, only have 10 weeks left.
you can bathe her. my aunt breeds labs and you can wash her as long as she doesn't freak out. you should wash her before shehas birth because it helps if she is clean. its less chance of sickness

The advantages of early pregnancy are clothes still fit, finding out what the sex of the baby is, and first kicks are felt. The disadvantages are morning sickness, telling any less then happy family members, and finding the perfect doctor.
I have been pregnant 2 times, and for me personally, the sickness started around 1 1/2 months to 2 months and lasted until sometime in the 5th month. My situation was a little different than most, as I had hyperemisis gravidarum (spelling?), which means that I stayed nauseated ALL the time and vomited non-stop. It was so bad that I was hospitalized three times in each pregnancy BEFORE giving birth. It started out as regular ol' morning sickness (nausea) that usually got better after a couple slices of cheese toast, but then one day the vomiting started. I wasn't concerned until it started lasting all day and night and progressivley got worse, and I started becoming very dehydrated and started losing alot of weight. I'm sure your experience will not be this awful, but if your sickness does start to last longer or you start becoming dehydrated, PLEASE call your doctor immediately!! If they tell you it is just regular morning sickness, but you fell unsure about this diagnosis, seek a second opinion. I would have died if my husband had not been insistant that the doctors see me the first time around. (they told me when I got to the hospital that it was a miracle I was no because the dehydration was so bad- I was hallucinating and had lost 32 pounds in less that 4 weeks)

Although there are other factors involved as known causes for morning sickness, one of the main causes of morning sickness is low blood sugar (also called hypoglycemia). Examples of other causes besides hypoglycemia are fluctuating hormone levels, and some people believe that morning sickness is a built-in method from nature to protect the early fetal development from injuring-microbes that might be consumed in foods, such as meats, that are commonly associated with food-borne illness.) When you are very early in the pregnancy, your body has not yet adjusted to "eating for two" and may not be regulating your blood sugars as well as usual. While you are sleeping, and not consuming any foods, the fetus is still "eating" your stored calories. This makes your blood sugar dip low by morning, which typically causes nausea (even when not in pregnancy). Not all women experience morning sickness, which is another sign that it is likely associated with how a woman's body metabolizes calories and stabilizes blood sugar levels. That is why, in some women whose bodies do that less well than others (even when not pregnant), "morning sickness" can happen any time of the day and not just in the morning. It also can happen either only at the beginning of pregnancy or continue longer, even up until delivery in some unfortunate women. The best all around plan for avoiding morning sickness symptoms (or nausea due to hypoglycemia at any time of the day), is to eat small portions but more frequently. These frequent mini-meals should include all types of foods, i.e, proteins, complex carbohydrates (like fruits and vegetables), fats, whole grains, etc., and avoid as much as possible the simple carbohydrates (like saltines, most breads that are not whole grain, sweets, and other "starches" like corn, white rice and white potatoes). Five or more smaller meals is much better than only three big ones. Some women switch to eating every two or three hours all day with protein at night to keep the blood sugars even. Ask your obstetrician to suggest the most appropriate diet for you while your baby develops.
