There isn't really a distance when you should use your fog lights, Switch on headlights, dip them if necessary and turn on fog lights if visibility is reduced. Fog lamps are very bright, however, so if you can see the vehicles behind you then it's likely they can also see you. In this case your fog lights will dazzle other drivers so turn them off
how do i put fog lights on
To install the fog lights on a 2003 Toyota Camry you must first look inside the booklet and see where the foglights go and how they go on. And however the book says to put them on that is how you should do it.
What I do is put my headlights on ( low beam ) and pull the headlight control towards me to turn on the fog lights ( push the control in to turn off the fog lights )
Based on the height of the ceiling the lights can be placed at half the distance. For a ceiling of 14 feet, the lights should be at 7 feet.
On a 2005 Ford Mustang : Either put your park lights or your low beam headlights on and then pull the headlight control out towards you to turn on the factory fog lights
Unless your car has been modified, or is faulty, the brake lights will go on when you touch the brake, wherever you're driving at that moment. Or are you perhaps thinking about the fog lights? These should be put on when visibility is reduced.
Take them out then put the new ones in
Pull the light knob out - it's two stage, front and rear.
On a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer : Put your low beam head lights on and pull the headlight selector switch towards you
VEH DOES NOT HAVE FRAME. PUT THEM ANYWHERE YOU THINK THEY LOOK GOOD.
Just make sure the lights that you get to put on it is for driveing some are to powerfull to drive with on
Did this to my 2000. You have to visit your dealership and have them program your ECU/BCM to acknowledge the fog lights. It cost me about $35 and worked like a champ after the programming. Hope this helps.
