My answer goes for Polymer Clay: You cook it IN AN OVEN for 15 mins per quarter of an inch of thickness (How thick the clay is) at 275F. That's if you are using Sculpey. I think all clays made by Sculpey are baked at the same temperature for the same amount of time, but I'm not sure. Also when you buy your clay look at the instructions. It will tell you how to bake it. DO NOT PUT IN MICROWAVE!! It will become soft and lumpy then turn super hard.

∙ 13y agoI bake the Amaco polymer clay at 250 for 30 minutes. The key is baking the polymer out. Over baking will lead to dark spots but if painting is planned it is a non issue. I hope this helps

You should read the package but most of them cook at 265-275 F. But you can also just turn it to a temp. Around 250-300 F. And just watch it.... Sometimes it releases a smell but it's harmless to people.... But birds on the other hand.... keep them away.... they shouldn't be near the oven anyways.... also go on youtube.com and type in "polymer cupcakes angeladivine" she has TONS of them.... they are amazazing and she has tutorials on how to make them... Hope this helped! No....Polymer Clay and Reg. Clay are not the same. For One Polymer Clay can be 'cured' in your home oven where other clay need either air to dry them or a High Fire Kilm.
