It will be warmer than the standard/specified 195F thermostat. I've owned mine for 230,000 miles, and it's consistently just below the 210F mark on the gauge in the winter, and just touching the low side of that mark in the summer. I trust Brian Mette's information.

No, the 1988 uses a AW4 trans. The 1996 Grand uses a 42re trans.
The firing order should be 1-5-3-6-2-4.
