Hi, It sounds like the u-joints are bad on drive shaft.
A vehicle will shake in the reverse function when there is an issue with the engine, although other issues could cause this issue as well.

The engine mount (which are made of rubber) are worn out.
It's difficult to get a feel for what you mean when you say your engine shakes. Do you mean a regular shake? If that's the case it might be a bad valve, sparkplug, plug wire or injector. If you mean that the engine moves quite a distance when you put it in reverse, but then comes back, it could be a motor mount. Please feel free to send an e-mail directly if you want to discuss the situation further.
Replace engine cushions

Engine miss.
An automobile engine usually shakes when it is being revved due the crank rotation. When revved in neutral, a torque is produced due to the reaction of the motor.
Spend the money to have it diagnosed by a repair shop as it will save you plenty.
My Honda civic 2002 shakes fora few seconds as I turn the engine off.It happened right after replacing the engine mount on the driver's side.
