An automobile engine usually shakes when it is being revved due the crank rotation. When revved in neutral, a torque is produced due to the reaction of the motor.
i think you need some muffler bearings, i am pretty sure they will cure the shakes. Go to your local autoparts store and ask them to order you some muffler bearings for the year and engine model that you have. I put the muffler bearings on my 01 grand am and it fixed my shakes.
