These were sold both as a basic shotgun with a few essential accessories, and as a specially cased commemorative issue. One occasionally sees the cased commemoratives, in new condition with all accessories, hang tags, etc. offered for $900 - $1,200.
The basic gun goes for much less. I'm not sure what they are going for now. I had one that was the basic gun with accessories and I bought it aboout 12 yrs ago in excellent condition for $300 or $350, if I recall correctly.
It is a very nice, unique gun. They do have one idiosyncrasy - since the flash channel to the lower barrel is very long, it requires extra attention in cleaning to be sure it is clean and dry before loading to prevent mis-fires. As long as it is clean and dry, everything is fine. But, get a little oil down in there and you're in for some aggravation
I just bought a beretta gardone 6.5. Looking for more information on it now.
