Cows and horses are conformed somewhat similarly but the names for various body parts are not the same.

Top line and hip seem to be where the names diverge the most.

Cow---------Horse

hook bone--point of hip

thurl-------- hip

pin bone----point of buttock

wither------ wither

crops------- (no corresponding name)

chine------- back

loin--------- loin

rump------- hindquarter

tailhead---- dock

brisket----- chest

dew claw-- ergot

(not named)- cannon bone

rear shank--- gaskin

front shank-- forearm
