I'm guessing this is about which holds most alcohol.

And the answer it - it depends.

Both wine and beer comes in different strengths, and of course, glasses do come in different sizes.

Let's say you have a wine at 13.5% and a beer at 4.5%.

The wine is 3x stronger than the beer.

But then there is serving size.

A serving of wine is usually 125-150 ml. Beer, you usually get one bottle/can of 330 ml. (Let's leave the pints out of this.)

So at about half the volume, but thrice the strength, a glass of wine will still be a little more alcohol than the beer.

But 4.5% is kinda at the weak side of beer. It's probably a bit stronger, which shrinks the difference a bit.

So, assuming average strengths, one serving of wine vs one serving of beer has pretty darn close to the same amount of alcohol.

But for the same volume, wine will have about 3x the alcohol of beer.
