Hip Hop of the 21st century has been relatively weak compared to the 80's and 90's. Most of the best selling Hip Hop music artists have sold out to the pop charts. There is only a few skilled rappers amongst the sugar coated wannabes.

Eminem- Though starting his career in 1999, most of his work has been in the 21st century. His shocking subjects of murder, drugs, and homophobia has been turned into great success.

Kanye West- Starting his musical career as a producer, Kanye West has produced a number of Roc-A-Fella albums. At first Roc-A-Fella was reluctant on making Kanye West a rapper, he proved he was a formidable rapper with his debut album The College Dropout. But all was lost when he was brainwashed by the auto-tune virus.

50 Cent- A big man of Hip Hop. 50 Cent's Get rich or Die Tryin' sold millions of copies and showed that he meant business. With his unique slur from a shot to the face, 50 cent was a monster on the mic. Was. He sold out to the pop charts. Lollipops anyone?

Jadakiss- Previously in a rap group called the LOXs, Jadakiss was trained by the best of the best, A god among men, The Notorious B.I.G. Jadakiss started his solo career in 2001 and killed the mic. It's too bad he isn't as recognized as much as he deserves.
