Lets get this straight. When we say the "Best" rapper, we mean the most evolved lyrically.
This is why Nas is the best rapper alive, and Gucci Mane is not (not even close). Gucci is a song writer and you have to be able to tell the difference between a song writer and lyricist before you answer ANY question about hip-hop.
if Tupac was to hear you say Gucci Mane is the best rapper he would turn in his grave. Gucci Mane IS NOT THE BEST RAPPER.
Now, knowing this, the north harbors the most lyrically evolved rap artists definitely.
