If you go all the way back to 1770 the Boston Massacre started with, you could say, a snowball fight. An angry mob started throwing ice and rocks at the Boston Customs House, and it all ended with mistrust of the British soldiers and angry colonists. If you think out of the box, the colonists were a bit more angry than they would have been normally without the Boston Massacre, so therefore the Boston Tea Party was started by a snowball fight.
To be accurate and correct if you are going to put "The Boston Tea Party was started by a snowball fight" on, say, an exam, you probably would be marked incorrect. Be careful.
