either you have lost your brake fluid through a leak or you need a new brake master cylinder (the type of master cylinder varies according to if you have anti-lock brakes on all wheels, just the back, or not at all)

The easiest way to do this. Very lightly apply the emergency brake. Moving the pedal will turn the lights off. You can drive like this as long as the emergency brake is not actually engaged. Try it..... A permanent fix would be to install a toggle switch connected to the e-brake pedal switch.

Let it idle for over one minute in Park without a/c on. Let it idle for over one minute in Drive with brake pedal depressed. Let it idle for over one minute in Drive with brakes pedal depressed and a/c on.

I take it you mean day-time running lights? Place the parking brake on the first notch will turn them off and not apply the brake.
Remove wheels Secure rotor be re-installing 2 lug nuts Loosen both caliper mounting bolts Remove 1 of them to allow caliper to swing for access Remove outer brake pad Use "C" clamp and inner brake pad (for leverage) to retract piston into caliper body Install new brake pads Swing caliper into place and secure REMEMBER TO PUMP BRAKE PEDAL PRIOR TO MOVING VEHICLE TO SET PADS AGAINST ROTOR
