The stupid people used ceramic pistons in the calipers and they have worn crooked so they are binding up the pad so it rubs on the rotor.
The piston won't retract back like it should.
The brake pads are probably worn. If not repaired, then the metal backer of the brake pads can cut into and damage the brake rotors. Noise is a sign to check the brakes as soon as possible.
I needed new brakes when my 2003 Vue shook at 50mph. Once I had the back brakes changed the shaking stopped.
Rotors warp when they overheat. Perhaps you're riding the brakes, have a sticking caliper or are going downhill a lot and are overheating the brakes that way. Often pulling a trailer will overheat the brakes, especially if the trailer does not have electric brakes. If none of the above seem to apply to your situation, perhaps someone put cheaper rotors on the vehicle; some of the import rotors look the same but they warp quite easily. Also not torquing the lug nuts correctly can warp the rotors. If the lug nuts are put on too tight the rotors will warp on some vehicles.
Saturn Vue was created in 2002.
Zero, a Saturn Vue is fuel injected.
This happened to our 2003 Vue. I had just had the brakes replaced and they had not done this properly, something to do with the 'calipers', so the car sounded like a bucket of bolts everytime I put on the brakes. Have them look at the rear brakes especially if you've just had them replaced.
