If you're really stuck, call a GM dealer's service center.
If you have taken all the wires off and have no idea where any of them go you need to find which one is number 1. Asking for wiring order implies you have done this. Firing order is the order in which they fire. Different questions. If you need to know how to find when the number 1 cylinder is in the right position, let me know.
where are the freeze plugs located on a 1996 buick skylard
Yes, you still need to make sure that the plugs are firing when it's their turn.
A 6-cylinder has SIX and a 4-cylinder has FOUR spark plugs.... Am I missing something here?
1 plug per cylinder so 6
I think it's .06 but if you get Bosch Platinum plugs, you won't have to worry about it.
It's a royal pain... The back plugs are the hardest to get at if you have a 6-cylinder engine. It's not impossible but you might have to rely on sense of feel. (Who designs these things anyway?)
I believe there is a slightly finned top on this motor (quad 4). remove the bolts on this and it should remove the finned plate, giving access to the spark plugs underneath.
Screwed into the head or heads. actually its not that easy to find the skylarks spark plugs. Just FIY one of them is under the alternator so have fun changin that one i know i didnt.
under dash right side of steering column wiring harness out of steering column 2 purple wires and a blue wire a round 12v flasher plugs into this connector. remove 2 screws under drivers side and pull down plactic cover.
On the four cylinder dohc model they are located below a cover directly on top of the engine that requieres the removal of four bolts. the cover says 2.4 liter on it. as you remove it be careful as the whole assembly that connects with the plugs will come out too. Oh and don't forget to disconect the wiring harness that goes to the ingnition module that is also attached to this same cover.
Check firing order
The Order is: Rear Spark Plugs 1-3-5 Front Spark Plugs 2-4-6
