I am building a 24X36 room addition on a cabin that sits on a side of a hill. I built the cabin using 6X6 treated post, in building the new addition how would the foundation be best layed out?

There are foundation remains of a large building. possibly industrial in the woods at the side of the right of way that leads from flag hill down to the estuary. The estuary itself ends in a large 'basin' by this site.
