i think the speed of the computer will increase
The motherboard chipset or memory controller probably doesn't support it.
The one with 1GB of RAM. 512MB is 0.5 of 1GB
yes,we can increase it to 1GB by means of replacing 256MB into 1GB.we cannot add the size into one slot. for eg,if your ram size is 512MB means ,there are 2 slots in your CPU each of 256MB,u can replace one slot into 1GB .
yes but the game speed will be very slow
buy single 1GB ram and put it in single slot ... it works fine... I'm using 1gb ddr1 ram PC 333 on Intel 845 motherboard... its wrking fine...
The answer is obvious, 516 MB.
There is no difference, except that your computer will be using two ram slots, instead of just one.
512MB is the suggested minimum amount, and 1GB is the recommended optimal amount.
512 MB = 0.5 GBHence after adding 1 GB RAM your laptop memory will be 1.5 GB.
no, not at all it only takes PC100 RAM at a maximum of 512MB or 1GB I think only 512MB. I have a Latitude CPx J750GT PIII 750mhz that won't boot with PC133 from a C610 which is another C series laptop.
mb is smaller than gigs so 512mb is half a gig.
Barely. Vista Home Basic will run, slowly, on a system with 512MB RAM. Increasing RAM to 2GB is strongly recommended.
