XML (apex)
You will have to parse the xml, but that is time consuming when done by hand. The easiest and fastest method would be to use an xml tool that could parse it for you, like tinyxml, xerces or LiquidXml.
XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is a set of rules for encoding documents. For example, XML can be used to define the rules of a particular file format such as HTML. It is not a programming language. C is a general purpose programming language which is used to write software.
I am making a custom CNC driving circuit based on microcontroller which reads a standard G-Code file and convert it to a motor movement instructions and I am searching for a C library functions for parsing/interpreting the G-code to simplified tool path instructions like goto and speed. I am speaking about making that process in the firmware. I found many free programs which convert the G file to toolpath instructions to its own circuits via serial or parallel port without enough documentation about how the communication is implemented. So I am thinking about doing the G-code parsing in my motor driving ciruit but I can't found C functions to help me, instead of building the complete parsing functions.
