It is connected to a door in the lower part of the heating box. It is connected to a lever about even with the accelerator pedal on the tunnel housing under the HVAC controls. Check that the cable hasn't slipped out of the arm.

There is one cable from the pull handle thru the floor. That cable connects to two cables that travel to each rear wheel. This one to two junction is uder a heat shield on top of the muffler. Not the easiest place to get to. Had to change the two cables today. They get stuck.

Well on mine , I discovered that the thermostat had actually fell apart and was letting the water go passed too fast to heat up, so check there first. The problem I found on mine was the heat temp control cable. The plastic tab under the dash that moved the flapper to control how much hot air came into the interior was broken at the cable end. With much patience and scratched arms I reattached the cable.

The resistors that I know of are behind the control for the heat and A/C. I had an issue with no heat and not blowing air until level 4. I replaced the module and everything works fine.
