how many boxes of wood flooring would i need if there are 19.72 sq feet in a box to cover 640 sq feet of an area?
It depends on how many square feet the box will cover. I found two different brands: one covered 22.93 sqft, the other 17.59 sqft. your room is 12' x 14' = 168 sq.ft so 168 sqft / (22.93 sqft / box) = 7.32 boxes for my first example and 168 sqft / (17.59 sqft / box) = 9.55 boxes for my 2nd example Hope this helps
Each brand and model is different. The square footage for each carton is listed on the end flap of boxes.

Great question. Laminate wood flooring is designed to look exactly like wood. Even though it is made of synthetic products rather than real wood. Wood will outlast laminate, but if you have children laminate is better for your home.
There are numerous tips available online for installing laminate flooring. Some of the most popular tips include the following: 1. Purchase ten percent more flooring than required to account for waste and mistakes. 2. The boxes of laminate should be opened and let sit for a couple of days in the room in which the floor is to be installed, in order to acclimatize the laminate flooring. 3. When installing laminate flooring over a concrete surface, vapor shield should be laid down prior to installation. 4. Laminate flooring does not require any special tools to install. However, it is handy to have spacers, bumpers and a pry bar on hand.
Depending on what you buy, if you we're buying laminate at $.76 per sq ft, you would need 28 boxes.
You have a total of 108 sqft of flooring to cover. According to the 18.73sqft per box instructions, you would need 5.7661 boxes to fulfill the area. You will have to purchase 6 boxes. This will also let you have a few extra pieces to work the flooring together. Also keep the STYLE AND LOT# of the flooring for future reference.
if a room is 12x 8 how many boxes of wood laminate are needed?
No. 56 square feet will not cover half of it. 10 by 12 is 120 square feet. You will need just over 2 boxes.
It depends on the size of the boxes. If the boxes are one square foot, then you need 1400 of them. This obviously differs with box size.
275/21.44 = 12.83, so you need 13 boxes.
187 sq feet
Different manufacturers have boxes with different amounts in them.

You have 72 sq feet of flooring. But ever laminate manufacture puts a different amount in the box. Usually it is printed really clearly on the front. So, for your floor if you have 72 sq feet and there is say, 20 sq ft in a box, you will take 20 and divide into 72. Round to the nearest box and make sure you have some for waste.
