The recommended calorie intake for young girls depends on the age, weight, and height of the young girls. There is no better guideline then BMI. A good example to start with is 1500 calories per day for a young lady.

It varies a little based on age, weight, height, acitivity level, body type, and a variety of other factors. On average, for a young girl (under 12), she should be eating about 1,000 calories a day. For a girl over 12 or so, she should be eating about 1,400 to 1,600 caloires or so daily.
