There isn't one. OBD-I didn't come about until 1991. The previous system was ALDL, which doesn't use a diagnostic connector - the check engine light is blinked in various patterns to report fault codes, and those blink patterns have to be deciphered.

It is located under the hood. If your scan tool is for OBD II, that scan tool won't work on that vehicle. That vehicle is pre-OBD II. You can read the codes by simply turning the ignition on and off 3 times leaving it on on the third time. The check engine light will start flashing. Count the flashes. An example of flash code 23 (Air charge temperature sensor out of range) would be, flash, flash, pause, flash, flash, flash. If memory serves me right, it should end with a 55. If the only code you receive is a 55 then you have no fault codes.

There is no OBD scan tool connection on this car as this year is not OBD2 compliant.
