on your fuel pump do you have any relay switches or fuel pump link fuse.My vette did .
my 05 Kia optima 2.4 is a real pain Ive not been able to find the relay or shutoff switch . all these problems started after i changed all my belts out . and crank shaft position sensor. I'm not getting fire to my plugs also... dam the bad luck .
They are located at the end of the spark plug wires.
first up i would check to make sure all plug wires are installed to the correct plugs 2 wires swapped to out of sequence plugs will cause this misfire
you have to change them one at a time this way you cant mixup the wires cap the plugs to spec this can be found under the hood on a sticker or in the owners manual
the spark plugs are set down inside the valve cover. you have to remove the 4 "box" looking tops of the spark plug wires, and use a good long extension to get to them.
check reset for fuel switch(rollover sensor)
No it cant
if you cant find the spark plugs then you probably shouldn't be working on your car if you cant answer the question maybe you shouldnt leave answers like these
Possible wires installed wrong or plugs not gapped properly. You don't say what kind of car so I cant tell you the firing order. Check you put the right wires on right plugs. ALSO- If you have a timing light or access to one- Check timing! If it was timed/tuned with old plugs for several years (it happens, my smog guy does it to pass me), then it might have been changed to accomodate the old plugs wearing down. Plus a hotter burn/spark will automatically change your compression and therefore your whole burn sequence. I put in 'fancy' platinum plugs in my Bronco once and it refused them, running terrible. Had to put in new 'old' type plugs and ran perfect. Go figure. Dokter Denney
Ignition coil, distributor, crank sensor or computer
same way you replace them in any other 4 cyl. car. Take the plug wires off of the plugs (make sure to keep them in order to be put back on exactly the same or your cylinders will not fire in the correct order), use spark plug socket (the kind with a rubber insert inside it to keep from breaking the delicate porcelain) to remove plugs, replace with new ones, making sure not to overtighten them as that will only make things difficult next time you remove them, and reattach the plug wires EXACTLY as they were. If you cant see your spark plug wires when your hood is open you need to remove the enigne top cover.
if you cant get at your spark plugs the best way is to take the side and front motor mounts out and let the motor down they will be easy to get at make sure you have a jack under the motor comes out like butter
an egr valve stuck open would cause this, i cant remember for sure if this engine has one or not though. more likely is secondary ignition problems(i.e. cap, rotor, plug wires,or plugs)
