Kids are resilient, and bounce back after a crack up, but they don't bounce back after a humiliation. Get a decent bike and spend the time to teach him/her how to ride properly. You won't regret it, and neither will they.

Dirt biking is a great way to get active.So if you ask me if dirt biking is safe for 12 year olds.Yes definitely.My children have never had any injurys.And its great for kids to stop sitting in front of the tv.Even if you dont live in the country side you can still get a dirt bike and bring it to the beach or somewhere.
