NO, this is an unacceptable swap. The 205/70 tire will be 4.34% too large in overall diameter. Your speedometer will read 57.3 at a true 60 mph. Ride, handling, performance, and braking will be adversely effected. You should not move to a 70 series tire because you will have to install size 185/70-15 to be an acceptable swap which will effect all aspects of the tire. You can go to a 65 series tire in size 195/65-15 which is a good swap. My advice it to stick with the OEM size which the engineers who designed your car have determined to be the optimum size.
I tried to fit the chains for a 215/70R15 on a 215/60R15, and the chains were too large. I suspect in your case the chains will be too small.
Yes you can but it is not advisable. The 215 tire will be 2.09% larger in overall diameter. Your speedometer will read 58.7 at a true 60 mph. You will also have less power at take off. Stick with the OEM size.
If there is enough clearance for the wider tire, yes.
No, this is a poor swap as this tire is way too small a diameter. Your handling, ride, fuel mileage, and power will suffer. Your speedometer will also read 62.7 at a true 60 mph. If you wish to go to a 60 series tire then install 235/60-15 which is a very good substitute.
NO, absolutely not. Never, ever, mix tire sizes on the same axle. You could put a set of 215 on the front and then a set of 205 on the rear but not a 205 & 215 on the same axle. Tires on each axle must be the exact same size.
Yes, you can substitute the 205/75-15 for the 215/70-15.
I doubt it as there is 2" difference in diameter.
A 215 is a larger tire you would have to make sure it would clear when you turned your tires and when they moved up and down while driving. Also they may throw your cars computer off which would need recalibrating.
You can but your speedometer will no longer be accurate.
