All ATMs are designed to 'capture' any card inserted into it - provided that the card is 'read'. The magnetic strip on the back of the card triggers the mechanism to pull the card into the machine. Once the transaction is complete,the card is ejected.
The only exception, is if the bank has for the the card to be retained - in which case, the machine keeps the card, and informs the user on the screen to contact their bank.
