What is Adderall psychosis?
Adderall is made up of 4 amphetamine salts. These are in a class of drugs known as stimulants. Excessive use of stimulants can cause sleep deprivation and a lot of negative psychological symptoms (psychosis). Whether this psychosis is due to the lack of sleep, the drug or the combination isn't know, as sleep deprivation alone can cause psychosis. Symptoms can include paranoia, auditory hallucination, tremors, panic attacks, etc....
Ambien and abilify?
When you are on Abilify you should never take any other prescription drugs or OTC drugs. If you have been taking Ambien for a while and add Abilify you can suffer severe consequences. I do not know whether there was a relationship but my husband developed spots in his pancreas about six months after taking Abilify. These spots developed into Pancreatic Cancer. He died two years after taking Abilify for only four months. He had all kinds of bad reactions to Abilify. He had a serious tremor in his hand, hit two cars, had two gran mal seizures, could not sleep, and was totally disoriented on Abilify. In my opinion it is the WORST anti-depressant on the market!! violetscoffee@msn.com
Does Abilify help anxiety or make it worse?
Usually it helps with anxiety and sleep. Some people react strangely to it and things get worse.
Can NyQuil and abilify be taken together?
I wouldn't recommend it. I am also on Abilify and Nyquil night-time relief and nearly crashed my car. Shakes, chills, racing heartbeat, confusion, blurred vision (to the point of barely being able to see), etc. Once home I found out that together these medications can cause "anticholinergic intoxication syndrome" which describes my symptoms exactly. They list it as a "moderate" interaction between the two drugs, but it can cause death in rare, and severe cases. How many hours between taking Ativan and ambien?
Adderall lasts for like 6-8 hrs, so anytime after that's good. The Ambien can actually help you come off the Adderall and get to sleep (obvi :]). Of course, if you wanna have some fun, someone who isn't me ;) finds that taking them together is rather exquisite.
Can you get Adderall if you suffer from Bulimia?
Most likely not. Your psychiatrist will be reluctant to put you on that medication for several reasons. One being that bulimia causes erosion on the digestive tract and adderall can cause an increase in stomach acid. Another reason is that adderall can cause heart problems and advanced bulimia will do the same, greatly increasing the risk of heart attack or failure. Another reason is that bulimia is a psychological disorder and adderall acts on several receptors in the brain, which could cause severe symptoms such as paranoia, hallucinations, and many sleep/motor function control problems. Also, adderall has contradictions with several medications used by bulimia patients such as antacids, anti-depressants, and certain vitamins used when trying to restore your physical health. There are other options for ADD/ADHD that are much safer but you should never use adderall as a weight loss or appetite suppressant drug.

Melatonin is the best choice to induce sleep!Yes, but I would consult your doctor first. I am on Adderall for CFS. Adderall is great for reducing the fatigue but can sometimes cause insomnia so I take 3 mg of Melatonin, as needed, about a half hour prior to bed time. Melatonin is an over the counter natural supplement. It's about as natural and as safe as sleep aids come. Begin with NO MORE than 3mg. It should induce sleepiness in approx. 15-25 minutes with no morning hangover feeling at all! I've been on prescription sleep aids prior to Melatonin, but prefer Melatonin over any prescription sleep aid. It works just as well, if not, better!!

It is above average, but everyone sleeps differently. Teenagers sleep much more than adults do, and many things can lead to fatigue and drowziness that can cause someone to sleep so much.
