There have been several studies saying that ibuprofen can increase/or cause a miscarriage. Ibuprofen can cause problems to the fluid that surrounds an underdeveloped fetus. It is said that problems can occur if you take ibuprofen in the first and third trimesters, but specialists aren't certain if taking it in the second trimester will pose problems (Yet some say it will.)...That is why doctors will say to take Tylenol (Acetaminophen). From what I've seen on many many threads dealing with medical problems...a vast amount of mothers are saying how they took 200mg of Advil and then later had a miscarriage. I hope this helped.

If you feel you need something as strong as Vicodin you have to tell your doctor. The information I got is that sometimes the benefits are greater then the risks but always in agreement with your doctor. Nowhere do I find that it causes miscarriage but strong painkillers always affect the fetus so there might be damages and addiction. Everything you eat so does the fetus.

No but it can cause damage to the fetus so stick to Tylenol when pregnant. And always ask your doctor when adding new meds.
