Within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church), African Americans, and indeed those of all races, have equal opportunity for salvation and exaltation. This has always been a doctrine of Mormonism. Indeed, the Book of Mormon says, "he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God."(2 Nephi 26:33)

It's true that prior to 1978, blacks of African decent were not able to hold Priesthood office within Mormonism. This did not prohibit them from salvation and exaltation in the Kingdom of God. Church leaders have explained that because God's work and glory is to "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39) He would never deny exaltation to anyone due to race, and that a way would be provided for all people.

As far as becoming Gods, the official Mormon doctrine simply states that in exaltation, men will "become likeGod."

Where to get godhood in Okami?

Godhood serves as a shield that will last 3 hits depending on the level of godhood. There is none, red, yellow, and green. To increase godhood you can buy Travelers Charms or Godly Charms. Godly Charms completely fill up the godhood meter, both cost demon fangs. You can also just keep on attacking. If you get a high enough combo than your godhood will begin to be restored.
