Godhood serves as a shield that will last 3 hits depending on the level of godhood. There is none, red, yellow, and green. To increase godhood you can buy Travelers Charms or Godly Charms. Godly Charms completely fill up the godhood meter, both cost demon fangs.
You can also just keep on attacking. If you get a high enough combo than your godhood will begin to be restored.
