Depends on the infraction. If the ticket is for throwing garbage out the window, you will probably receive a ticket since police cars have cameras in the front howver, if the cop didn't tell you to stop or anything you should be fine.
No there should be an address on the ticket to mail the fine to if not you could call the dept. in N.C. that gave you the ticket such as N.C DMV or any city or county officer
You can be mailed a ticket, yes, but I've never heard of it happening in instances where someone was actually pulled over by a police officer - it's generally something which happens when you've been caught running a red light or speeding by a camera apparatus.
I just got one and got the notice in the mail and the cost of the NO SEAT BELT ticket was $322!! Is this a joke??? A speeding ticket on the freeway is $360, why is a seat belt ticket $322?? This government is a joke.
Well, just got mine in the mail...drum roll...$285!
I just received 2 in the mail both from Gretna. One was 10mph over and $120 and one was 12 mph over & $140....
Notification of speed camera tickets is usually through the mail.
You probably got nailed in a speed trap. Similar to red light cameras, speed cameras/traps have built in radar guns in them designed to catch anyone going over the posted limit. If the person is speeding the radar guns trigger a camera to photograph the vehicle. What you will get in the mail is the citation, your photo, and the alleged speed. In otherwirds, you can be mailed a ticket without ever being pulled over.
A speeding ticket for speed under 15mph beyond the speed limit can usually be paid by bank check via mail. Over 15mph beyond the speed limit generally requires a trip to court. Good Luck - Mr Dog
The identification plates Help , the officer ; To identify Your Car and register Your ticket to enable Any confuses-ion , Also The new speeding Camera Takes A photo near the plates and by 2-3 Days you get your ticket/bill that you owe thur the mail .
it matters where your from. In Queensland Australia it ranges anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks depending on when you get the ticket. I think i got done for speeding last night, hopping to not get any extra" mail over the next week or two lol :P well don't speed that's my advice.
contact the court, They may require you to appear. If you still have the ticket for reference, you can pay it via mail.
In most jurisdictions, the officer turns over the ticket information to the traffic court. The traffic court will send out a notice, sometimes including a duplicate ticket.
I assume that this is a South Carolina speeding ticket in Oconee county. You can pay your ticket by mail. The address of the court is in the middle of the ticket. Usually it is a Summary county court or it could be a city court. You have to pay by money order, they will not accept a check for a South Carolina speeding ticket. If the fine is more than the minimum of 81.00 you may want to consider retaining a South Carolina traffic attorney to get the ticket reduced.
If a person who is licensed in Utah gets a speeding ticket in Minnesota, and does not want to fight the ticket, they should mail a check for the fine to the address given on the back of the ticket. If the fine is not known, the person can call the phone number on the back of the ticket and ask what the fine is. All of this must be done before the court date given on the ticket.
You can get a traffic ticket for many different reasons. The main reason that people get traffic tickets is for speeding. They can be caught by either a police officer or a video camera. The camera option is relatively new. The cameras are equipped with radar guns that can measure the speed of a car; they can then take a picture of a car's license plate. The police force will mail a traffic ticket to the person who is on record as owning the car. They may not even know until they get the ticket that they have been caught. You can also get a traffic ticket for running a red light. Like the above issue with speeding, you can be caught either by a police officer or a camera. A camera on a red light will take a picture both of the license plate and the driver; the police for will then send you a picture of yourself running the light along with the ticket. This often keeps people from wanting to fight the tickets since they can see that they have been caught and have no hope of convincing a judge otherwise. To pay a traffic ticket, you either have to go to court and pay the money yourself or mail the amount due in to the court. The mail option is often used with parking tickets and other such violations. It is also used with speeding tickets. This saves the court a lot of time and energy on clear-cut cases where the person is obviously guilty and just has to turn over the money. An envelope to mail the money back to the courthouse will come with the ticket when it arrives in the mail, is posted on your vehicle, or is given to you by an officer. You can fight a traffic ticket if you want. In many cases, this is pointless. If there is video evidence that you have broken the law, you will not be able to overturn the ruling. However, police officers sometimes make mistakes. If you have been given a ticket for not wearing your seat belt when you really had it on, you can go in to the traffic court and tell the judge that you have been wrongly accused. The officer will have to come and present his or her side of the story as well, and then you can either leave or pay in person depending on what is decided.
The police and the laws in California are very specific. However, we have noticed in traveling in the state that if you stay with traffic that sometimes everyone is speeding. Best to watch your speed everywhere, since tickets are expensive.
No, just mail in the amount of the ticket unless you have decided to try to beat the ticket. But, If your license is in jeopardy yes then, it would be a good Idea to hire yourself an attorney.
